The sr 71 book sled is wonderful. Flying more than a thousand miles an hour. Brian Shul “Sled Driver” Signed. Being able to climb to 25, feet in about 4 minutes, it’s like a diver doing a rapid ascent from depth.
The biggest sr 71 book sled is that Brian Shul is not a writer and didn’t have a strong editor to help him go through and edit and revise his book. I’d sit in the library and just write it sped read it over and over and over.
People often asked us if, because of this fact, it was fun to fly the jet. But it was part of the division of duties in this plane and I had adjusted to it.
